APTET Exam Syllabus: Government of Andhra Pradesh, School Education Department conducts Andhra Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test. APTET Exam Syllabus details are given below….

APTET Exam: APTET will be conducted in four papers, not two (Paper-1A, Paper-1B, Paper-2A, Paper-2B). Paper-1 focuses on Classes I to V, and Paper-2 focuses on Classes VI to VIII. Paper-A and Paper-B within each category cater to regular and special education, respectively. Candidates who want to teach Classes I to V can choose between Paper-1A (regular education) and Paper-1B (special education). Similarly, candidates for Classes VI to VIII can choose Paper-2A or Paper-2B based on their specialization. To appear for both levels (I to VIII), candidates must take both Paper-I and Paper-II. The Question Paper shall be bilingual (i.e.) English followed by the Language-I chosen by the candidates for all Languages except Sanskrit. How to choose language–I of APTET Paper-I: The following languages are offered under First Language in the Schools under the State Syllabus viz., Telugu, Urdu, Hindi, Kannada, Tamil and Odiya. A Candidate has to choose one of these 6 Languages under Language-I of TET, those candidates should have compulsorily studied that Language either as medium of study or as First Language at least Up to Class X. The candidates who studied CBSE/ ICSE curriculum can choose the Language which they studied Up to Class X.

The Language-II shall be English for all candidates. The syllabus for Language I & II shall be based on Proficiency in the
language, Elements of language, communication and comprehension abilities (Classes III to VIII and Standards linkage Up to class X level). For 30 MCQs under Language I&II, 24 MCQs will be on content and 6 MCQs on Pedagogy of the Language.

The syllabus for Mathematics & Environmental Studies is designed on the basis of topics of Classes III to VIII. The difficulty standard as well as linkages of content/topics could be up to Secondary Stage (up to Class X) for testing. The test items in Mathematics and Environmental Studies will contain 30 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) each, both on Content and Pedagogy .In Mathematics, 24 MCQs will be on Content and 6 MCQs on Pedagogy. Similarly, in Environmental Studies 24 MCQs will be on Content and 6 MCQs on Pedagogy.

The detailed syllabus for all subjects shall be designed by the SCERT and the same shall be issued along with the Notification. Candidates are informed to follow present State syllabus and textbooks of Class III to V and previous State syllabus and textbooks of classes VI to X and present Bilingual Textbooks of Class VI to IX may be followed. The candidates has to follow 2016, 2019 editions of D.Ed / D.El.Ed Telugu Academy/SCERT textbooks.

How to choose Language – I of AP-TET Paper-2A & Paper-2B : The following Languages are offered under First Language in Secondary schools under the State Syllabus viz., Telugu, Urdu, Hindi, English, Kannada, Tamil, Odiya and Sanskrit. Other than Language Teachers has to choose one of these 8 Languages under Language- I of TET, those candidates should have compulsorily studied that Language either as medium of study or First Language at least up to Class-X. The candidates who studied CBSE/ ICSE curriculum can choose the Language which they studied up to Class X.

Language Teachers have to choose the Language of their study in Pandit Training concerned under Language-I of TET Paper-2A.The Language-II shall be on English proficiency for all the candidates. The syllabus for Language I & II for Paper-2A shall be based on proficiency in the Language, Elements of Language, Communication and Comprehension abilities (standard up to Senior Secondary Level – 12th Class). 30 MCQs for Language -I and 30 MCQs for Language- II will be given.

The syllabus for TET-2024 of concerned Paper-2A and Paper-2B are based on topics of Classes VI to X. The difficulty standard of
questions as well as their linkages could be up to Senior Secondary Level (12th class). Candidates are informed to follow previous state syllabus and textbooks of Classes VI to X and present NCERT syllabus Bilingual Textbooks of Class VI to IX. The candidates are informed to follow 2016, 2019 editions of D.Ed/D.El.Ed/ B.Ed Telugu Academy/SCERT textbooks.
