AFCAT Eligibility Details

AFCAT Eligibility Details: Indian Air Force (IAF) recruits Commissioned Officers in Flying Branch and Ground Duty (Technical & Non-Technical) Branches through Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT). Candidates intending to apply should ensure that they fulfill the minimum eligibility criteria as specified by IAF:

Eligibility Criteria: Candidates should be an Indian Citizen.

Age Limit:

For Flying Branch through AFCAT and NCC Special Entry: Candidates age should be between 20-24 years i.e. born between 20 to 24 Years as on 01-01-2022 i.e. born between 02-01-1998 to 01-01-2002 (both dates inclusive). relaxable upto 26 years i.e. born between 02 January 1996 to 01 January 2002 (both dates inclusive)

For Ground Duty (Technical & Non-Technical) Branch: 20 to 26 years as on (01-01-2022) i.e. born between 02-01-1996 to 01-01-2002 (both dates inclusive) for Technical Branch & Non-Technical Branch.

Educational Qualification: Candidates should possess qualification as follows:

1 Flying Branch Graduation (Minimum three year degree course) in any discipline from a recognized University with minimum 60% marks in aggregate in all
papers & have passed Maths and Physics at 10+2 level.
2 Technical Branch Four year degree/ integrated Post Graduation qualification or cleared Sections A and B examination of Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India
a. Aeronautical Engineer (Electronics) {AE (L)}
b. Aeronautical Engineer (Mechanical) {AE (M)}
3 Ground Duty (Technical & Non-Technical) Branch Graduation with 60% marks/ B. Com. Degree/ MBA/ MCA or MA/ M.Sc Degree in English/ Physics/ Mathematics/ Chemistry/ Statistics/ International relations/ International studies/ Defence studies/ Psychology/ Computer Science/ IT/ Management / Mass Communication/ Journalism/ Public Relation with minimum of 50% marks

c. Education

Physical Standards: Candidates who are applying for AFCAT should have the physical standards as follows:
