What is the Eligibility for Pan Card 2.0?

There is no need for current PAN cardholders to reapply. They can easily request a PAN that is QR-enabled and are automatically eligible for the PAN 2.0 upgrade.

How to Apply for the New Pan Card 2.0?

Applicants must go to the official NSDL e-PAN portal, enter their date of birth, PAN, and Aadhaar number (which is required for persons), and then confirm the information provided. After that, they will get an OTP, which they have ten minutes to enter. The e-PAN request is completed following acceptance of the terms and conditions and payment completion, if necessary.

Applicants must use the official UTIITSL portal to check in and input their PAN, date of birth, and captcha code. They must also confirm that their email address is linked to their PAN. They can instantly apply for an e-PAN if the email address is already registered. If not, the PAN 2.0 initiative requires them to update it. After that, the registered email address receives the e-PAN as a PDF file.

Is PAN 2.0 Mandatory for Taxpayers?

However, upgrading to PAN 2.0 is recommended because it offers enhanced features, such as QR code verification, improved security, and instant digital access.
