What is the Eligibility Criteria for CNET Application Form 2025-26?
B.Sc. Nursing Course (4 Years)
Age: - Minimum age for admission is 17 years on or before 31st December 2025.
Minimum qualifications for admission are as per INC Regulation: -
- Candidates with Science who have passed qualifying 12th Standard examination (10+2) and must have obtained a minimum of 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology (PCB) taken together
- and passed in English individually from any recognized board.
- In respect of candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC the marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry and iology (PCB) taken together shall be 40% instead of 45% for General Category candidates.
- English is a compulsory subject in 10+2 for eligibility for admission in B.Sc. Nursing.
- Candidates are also eligible from State Open School recognized by State Government and National Institute of Open School (NIOS) recognized by central government having Science subjects and English only.
- Colour Blind candidates are eligible provided that colour corrective contact lens and spectacles are worn by such candidates.
- The selection of candidates will be subject to medical fitness. No selected candidate will be permitted to join the course unless declared medically fit by the Medical Board constituted by the Government Medical College or the District CMO.
- Married candidates are also eligible.
Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing Course (2 Years)
Age: - Minimum age for admission is 17 years on or before 31st December 2025.
Minimum qualifications for admission are as per INC Regulation: -
1. Candidates should have passed Higher Secondary or Senior Secondary or Intermediate (12th Standard examination) or (10+2) or an equivalent exam recognized by the University for this purpose. Those who have done 10+1 in or before 1986 will be eligible for admission.
2. Obtained a certificate in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) and registered as R.N.R.M. with the State Nurses Registration Council.
3. A male nurse, trained before the implementation of the new integrated course besides being Registered as a nurse with State Nurses Registration Council, shall produce evidence of training approved by Indian Nursing Council for a similar duration in lieu of midwifery in any one of the following areas:
a. O.T. Techniques
b. Ophthalmic Nursing
c. Leprosy Nursing
d. TB Nursing
e. Psychiatric Nursing
f. Neurological and Neuro Surgical Nursing
g. Community Health Nursing
h. Cancer Nursing
i. Orthopaedic Nursing
4. Colour blind candidates are eligible provided that colour corrective contact lens and spectacles are worn by such candidates.

M.Sc. Nursing Course (2 Years)/ Nurse Practitioner in Critical Care [NPCC] (2 Years)
Age: - Minimum age for admission is 17 years on or before 31st December 2025
Minimum qualifications for admission for M.Sc. Nursing are as per INC Regulation: -
1. The candidate should be a Registered Nurse and Registered midwife or equivalent with any State Nursing Registration Council.
2. The Minimum education requirements shall be the passing of B.Sc. Nursing/B.Sc. Hons. Nursing/Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing with minimum of 55% aggregate marks.
3. Minimum one year of work experience (Clinical or Teaching) after Basic B.Sc. Nursing.
4. Minimum one year of work experience (Clinical or Teaching) prior or after Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing.
Minimum qualifications for admission for Nurse Practitioner in Critical Care (NPCC) Nursing Course:
1. The candidate should be a Registered Nurse and Registered midwife or equivalent with any State Nursing Registration Council.
2. The Minimum education requirements shall be the passing of B.Sc. Nursing/B.Sc. Hons. Nursing/Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing with minimum of 55% aggregate marks.
3. Minimum one year of clinical experience after Basic B.Sc. Nursing preferably in any critical care setting.
4. Minimum one year of clinical experience prior or after Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing preferably in any critical care setting.
