Karnataka RTE Admission 2025
Starting today, April 15, 2025, the Karnataka Department of School Education opens the application process for Right to Education (RTE) admissions for the 2025-2026 academic year. Parents and guardians can submit applications online via the official website: schooleducation.karnataka.gov.in.
On March 28, 2025, the state government released the preliminary list of eligible government, aided, and unaided schools for RTE admissions, following the publication of the RTE admission guidelines on March 25, 2025.
Prior to the release of the final list of schools and available seats, parents had the opportunity to submit objections regarding neighborhood schools by April 4, 2025. Additionally, the department conducted a trial registration session from April 9 to April 11, 2025, to help applicants familiarize themselves with the online application process before it officially began.

Karnataka RTE Admission 2025 Eligibility Criteria:
- The student’s family must belong to the Below Poverty Line (BPL) category.
- The student must be a resident of Karnataka state, India.
- The family income of the applicant should not exceed ₹3.5 lakh per year.
Priority will be given to children from disadvantaged sections of society, such as:
- Orphans
- Children with special needs
- Children of farmers who have committed suicide
- Other vulnerable groups
Age Limit Criteria:
- Pre-School Years:
Age should be between 3 years 10 months and 4 years 10 months
- 1st Standard:
Age should be between 5 years 10 months and 6 years 10 months

- Income certificate (for economically weaker sections)
- Farmer suicide assistance certificate (if applicable)
- Medical certificates (for special needs or HIV-affected children)
