KVS Admission 2025-26 For Class 2 to 12th

The admission process for Classes 2 to 10, including Vatika, in Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan will begin on April 2 and end on April 11, 2025. Parents can apply online for admission during this period. The first provisional list will be released on April 17, 2025. Priority will be given to children of Central Government employees, followed by children of PSU employees. Required documents include a birth certificate, residence certificate, passport-sized photo, and caste certificate (if applicable). There is no application fee for admissions up to Class 10.

KVS Admission 2025-26 Eligibility Criteria

For Class 2 to Class 8:

• No admission test will be conducted.
• Admission is based on the priority category system and availability of seats.
• Child’s age must match the KVS prescribed age limit, increasing by one year per class (e.g., 6–8 years for Class 2).

For Class 9:

• Admission requires an entrance test covering Hindi, English, Mathematics, Science, and Social Science.
• Students must secure at least 33% marks to qualify.
• Age limit for Class 9 admission: 13 to 15 years.

For Class 10 (Fresh Admission):

• Generally, fresh admissions are not permitted.
• Allowed only for students transferring from another KVS or a government-recognized school with matching subjects.
• Requires special approval from KVS authorities.
• Age limit for Class 10 dmission: 14 to 16 years.

For Class 11:

• No entrance test required.
• Admission based on marks obtained in the Class 10 Board Exam:
• Science stream: Minimum 60% aggregate.
• Commerce stream: Minimum 55% aggregate.
• Humanities stream: Pass in Class 10.
• Age limit for Class 11 admission: 14 to 16 years.

For Class 12 (Fresh Admission):
