NIH Recruitment 2025 - Qualification

Project Scientist-I:

• Ph.D. submitted/Awarded in Geophysics/Hydrology /Geo-infolmatics/ Geology/Water Resources/ Environmental Science. Self-motivated and enthusiastic researcher with experience in carrying out geophysical investigations and hydrogeological field works for groundwater applications.
• In case of without Ph.D. degree, a four year of experience with master degree in Geophysics/ Geology/ Water Resources/ Environmental Science will be considered for Research Associate Position. 
• If Ph.D. candidates are not available, then Masters (M.Sc/M.Tech) in Geophysics will also be considered for JRF/SRF position. The salary will be considered based on eynerience.

Project Scientist-II:

• Doctoral Degree in Science Or Master's Degree in Engineering or Technology in the field of Computer Science/Information Technology/ Geoinformatics from a recognized University or equivalent: & Three Years' experience in Research and Development in industrial and academic Institutions or Science and Technology Organizations and Scientific activities and service.

Junior Research Fellow Essential:

• Post Graduate Degree in Basic Science, Chemistry, Earth Science, Geology, Environment Science. OR M.Tech in Civil Engineering, Soil & Water Conservation Engineering, Water Resources Engineering. Water Engineering & Management, Environmental Engineering, Applied Geology, Remote Sensing or equivalent.

Resource Person (Junior):

• Post Graduate degree in Hydrology, Water Resources, Land and Water Resources, Geophysics, Remote Sensing, and Geo-informatics.

NIH Recruitment 2025 - Salary

• Project Scientist-I: Emoluments per month Rs.56,000/-p.m+ HRA Increment of 5% for every 2 years of experience subject to performance review.
• Project Scientist-II: Emoluments per month Rs.67,000/-p.m+ HRA Increment of 5% for every 2 years of experience subject to performance review.
• Junior Research Fellow Essential: Emoluments per month Rs. 37,000/- p.m. + HRA (as applicable).
• Resource Person (Junior): Emoluments per month Rs.20.000/- to 40,000/- p.m. + Rs. 1,500/-p.m. as local conveyance.

NIH Recruitment 2025 - Age limit

• Maximum Age for Project Scientist-II shall be 40 years Project Scientist-I will be 35 years and Junior Research Fellow will be 28 years as on the date of interview. Age relaxation of SC/ST/OBC/Women and physically handicapped candidates as per Govt. of India rules.

• Candidates can directly attend the walk-in-interview on the prescribed date, time at NIH along with complete bio-data, passport size photograph and original proof of qualification and experience. They must also bring with them self-attested copies of their certificates. Candidate may report in NIH in one hour before Interview time. After starting of Interview, admission in the same will not be allowed.
