NIMCET Admission 2025
The National Institute of Technology (NIT), Tiruchirappalli, has officially announced the commencement of online applications for the NIT MCA Common Entrance Test (NIMCET) 2025. NIMCET is a national-level entrance examination conducted for admission into the Master of Computer Applications (MCA) programs offered by various prestigious National Institutes of Technology (NITs) and select Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs) across India for the academic session 2025–2026. This exam serves as a centralized gateway for aspiring candidates seeking to pursue postgraduate studies in computer applications at top-tier institutions. All eligible and interested candidates are invited to submit their applications online through the official NIMCET portal at nimcet.admissions.nic.in. The application window will remain open from 17th April 2025 and will close on 16th May 2025.
Introduction
The NIMCET 2025 is a Common Entrance National Level Test, for admission into the MCA programme offered by NITs at Agartala, Allahabad, Bhopal, Delhi, Jamshedpur, Kurukshetra, Meghalaya, Patna, Raipur, Tiruchirappalli, Warangal and IIITs at Bhopal and Vadodara. The admission into the MCA programme for the year 2025-26 in above 11 NITs and 02 IIITs is based on the Rank obtained in NIMCET-2025 only.
The Curriculum and Syllabi of Master of Computer Applications (MCA) programme offered by the participating institutes are designed considering the needs of different Information Technology firms in India and abroad.

NIMCET Admission 2025 Eligibility Criteria:
Indian Nationals securing at least 60% marks in aggregate or 6.5 CGPA on a 10-point scale (55% marks or 6.0 CGPA on a 10-point scale in case of SC/ST/PwD) in
(I) Any UG program of minimum three years with Mathematics/Statistics as one of the subjects
(or)
(II) B.E./ B.Tech. from a recognized University/Institution
are eligible to appear for NIMCET-2025. Conversion of scored marks from CGPA to percentage and vice-versa is not permitted.
(CGPA other than 10-point scale will be converted to 10-point scale based on unitary method)
Candidates who are appearing for the qualifying examination are also eligible to apply for NIMCET-2025 and such candidates shall have to furnish the proof (in the form of a certificate issued by the Head of institution where the candidate has been studying / has studied) of candidature for appearing in the examinations during the academic year 2025-26. All candidates shall submit the proof of fulfilling the eligibility criteria of NIMCET-2025 at the time of Counselling/Admission but not later than 30/09/2025, failing which their admission is liable to be cancelled by the respective NITs /IIITs.

- Log in using your credentials to access the application form.
- Fill in personal, academic, and contact details as required.
- Upload scanned copies of your photograph, signature, and relevant documents.
- Pay the application fee online via Debit/Credit Card, Net Banking, or UPI.
- Submit the application form and download/print the confirmation page for reference.
