NTA SHRESHTA Application Form 2025
The government has approved a new scheme named SHRESHTA (Scheme for Residential Education for Students in Higher Classes in Targeted Area) for the purpose of providing seats for the meritorious SC boys and girls in the best private residential schools in the country. Every year, it is expected that about (3000) students would be selected for admission in Class 9 and Class 11 under the scheme.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) invites online applications for the National Entrance Test under the SHRESHTA (Scheme for Residential Education for Students in High Classes in Targeted Areas) 2025. This entrance exam is conducted for admission into Classes 9 and 11 for Scheduled Caste (SC) students for the academic session 2025-26. Eligible and interested candidates can submit their applications online through the official NTA portal at exams.nta.ac.in from 15th April 2025 to 5th May 2025.

What is the Eligibility Criteria for NTA SHRESHTA Application Form 2025?
Eligibility and Qualifications:
- Student belonging to scheduled castes, studying in class 8th and 10th in the current academic year (2024-25).
- Parent’s annual income is upto Rs. 2.5 lacs.
- Candidate opting for class IX should be born between 01-04-2009 to 31-03-2013 (i.e. 16 to 12 years of age as on 31.03.2025)
- Candidate opting for class XI should be born between 01-04-2007 to 31-03-2011 (i.e. 18 to 14 years of age as on 31.03.2025)
Note:
- The Candidates may please note that Admit Cards will not be sent by post
- In no case, the duplicate Admit Card for SHRESHTA (NETS) 2025 would be issued at the Examination Centers.
- The candidates must not mutilate the Admit Card or change any entry made therein
- Candidates are advised to preserve their Admit Cards in good condition for future reference.
- No Admit Card shall be issued to the candidates whose applications are found to be incomplete for any reasons (including indistinct/ doubtful photographs/unsigned Applications) or who do not fulfill the eligibility criteria for the examination
- Issue of Admit Cards, however, shall not necessarily mean acceptance of eligibility which shall be further scrutinized at subsequent stages of the admission process.
