Of the 240 total posts, special category vacancies (included within the district totals above) are reserved as follows: Ex-Servicemen – 2 (Cuttack, Ganjam), Hearing Impaired (HI) – 6 (Angul, Cuttack, Jajpur, Kandhamal, Khordha, Koraput, Sambalpur - one each, as specified in the annexure), and Orthopedically Impaired (OI) – 4 (Balangir, Ganjam, Kalahandi, one each, as specified in the annexure). Each district row also carries a Women sub-reservation within the UR/ST/SC/SEBC columns as per Annexure-I of the notification, not reproduced here for readability - candidates should verify their district's women sub-quota in the official annexure.
OSSSC Radiographer Recruitment 2026 Eligibility Criteria
All eligibility conditions must be fulfilled as on the date of advertisement, i.e. 28.08.2026 (except the contractual Radiographer age-relaxation clause).
- Nationality: Must be a citizen of India.
- Educational Qualification: Must have passed the +2 Science Examination under the Council of Higher Secondary Education, Odisha (or equivalent), and passed a Diploma in Medical Radiation Technology (DMRT) or Bachelor in Medical Radiation Technology (BMRT) from a Government Medical College and Hospital of the state, or any other private institution recognized by the Government of Odisha or the All India Council of Technical Education.
- Professional Registration: Must have registered their name in the Radiographers Council of the State and possess a valid Registration or Renewal Certificate as on the date of submission of the online application, which must be uploaded online.
- Odia Language: Must be able to speak, read, and write Odia, satisfied by having passed the Middle School Examination with Odia as a language subject, or Matriculation/equivalent with Odia as the medium of examination in non-language subjects, or Odia as a language subject up to Class VII or above, or a test in Odia at M.E. School Standard conducted by the School & Mass Education Department.
- Character: Must be of good character.
- Marital Status: If married, must not have more than one spouse living (subject to Government exemption provisions).
OSSSC Radiographer Recruitment 2026 Age Limit
A candidate must have attained the age of 21 years and must not be above 42 years as on the date of advertisement (28.08.2026). Date of birth is accepted only as recorded in the HSC Certificate issued by the Board of Secondary Education, Odisha, or an equivalent certificate from a recognized Board/Council/Indian University.

A candidate eligible for relaxation under more than one category is eligible for only one benefit of relaxation, whichever is most beneficial. Persons in Defence Service with more than six months left to retire/be discharged as on the last date of online application are not eligible to apply.

Fee must be paid online via Net Banking, Credit Card, Debit Card, or UPI through the payment gateway during submission of the online application. The examination fee of ₹500/- will be refunded to applicants who actually appear for the examination; the refund is processed after the examination and verification of attendance records, credited to the same account/payment method used at the time of application. No refund is admissible to applicants who fail to appear in the examination for any reason.

- The Written Test is MCQ type, conducted in OMR/CBRE mode (exact mode to be notified later), in one paper of 100 marks.
- Negative marking applies: 0.25 marks deducted for each wrong answer; no penalty for unattempted questions; more than one answer marked for a question is treated as wrong.
- Minimum qualifying marks/normalized score: 30% for ST, SC, PwDs, and Ex-Servicemen candidates; 35% for all other candidates.
- Tie-break sequence: higher percentage of marks in DMRT, then age seniority (older ranked higher), then higher marks in +2 Science, then the Commission's discretion.
- A Provisional Master Merit List is prepared from the Written Test; candidates securing minimum qualifying marks are screened for Document Verification at not less than 1.25 times the number of vacancies advertised, category-wise.
- Shortlisted candidates must appear for Document Verification before the District Level Board with all original documents.
- Candidates may be called for optional Physical Counselling/District Allocation, decided on merit-cum-choice basis as per vacancies available.
- The Provisional Select List is drawn separately for each district, based on merit, availability, "Not Interested" option (if exercised), and district choice/preference.

How to Apply for OSSSC Radiographer Recruitment 2026
- Visit the OSSSC website, www.osssc.gov.in, and click "How do I register/re-register/apply" on the Home page to read the instructions.
- Fresh candidates (New User) should click "Apply Online" on the Home page to register for the first time.
- Candidates already registered for any other OSSSC post (Registered User) should log in and select "Re-registration" under the Applicant Menu.
- Complete the Registration/Re-registration form first - this alone does not constitute filing of the online application.
- Log in with the User ID and Password, then fill in and submit the Online Application Form with all required data as per the guidance of the online system.
- Pay the Examination Fee of ₹500/- (if not exempted) via Net Banking/Credit Card/Debit Card/UPI and print the Confirmation Page after successful payment.
- Keep the scanned photograph (20–100 KB, JPG/JPEG/PNG) and specimen signature (20–50 KB, JPG/JPEG/PNG) ready for upload before starting registration.
- Provide preference for a maximum of three districts, in order of priority, in the online application form.
OSSSC Radiographer Recruitment 2026 Important Instructions
- Applications can be submitted online only, through www.osssc.gov.in; any other mode or incomplete application will be summarily rejected.
- Multiple Application Forms submitted by a candidate will not be accepted and will lead to cancellation of the result; candidates are not allowed to fill more than one application form under any circumstances.
- Applicants must have their own personal e-mail ID and mobile number, valid till completion of the recruitment process, for receiving all communication including the Admission/Intimation Letter.
- No printed Admission Letter/Intimation Letter will be sent by post; candidates must download it from the OSSSC website using their User ID and Password.
- Applicants having a temporary disability should not apply as PwD, as such applications are not eligible and will be summarily rejected.
- PwD candidates with benchmark disability will be allowed compensatory time of 20 minutes per hour in the Written Test, and may use a scribe with prior written permission from the ADM-cum-District Superintendent, at least three days before the test.
- There is no provision for re-evaluation or re-checking of scores; no correspondence in this regard will be entertained.
- The Commission reserves the right to conduct additional/re-test, reschedule any CBRE, or cancel part or whole of the recruitment process at any stage, without assigning any reason.
- Information uploaded on the OSSSC website will not be provided under the RTI Act, 2005, and remains available for a limited period only; candidates are advised to download and retain it.
- Misrepresentation, suppression of facts, or use of unfair means at any stage will result in cancellation/disqualification of candidature, even after an appointment order is issued.
