Environment and Pollution Control Covers environmental fundamentals, types and causes of pollution, their adverse effects, pollution control strategies, waste management techniques, global warming, acid rain, and ozone depletion.
Mechanical & Allied Engineering Engineering Mechanics: Laws of forces, equilibrium, friction, moment, Lami’s theorem, inertia.
Material Science: Mechanical properties of materials like tensile strength, ductility, toughness, creep resistance; heat treatment processes such as annealing, hardening, tempering, nitriding.
Strength of Materials: Stress-strain concepts, safety factors, bending moments, torsion, thermal stress, strain energy.
Welding: Arc and gas welding, MIG/TIG, soldering, brazing, welding defects, flame cutting, inspection methods.
Computer Science & IT PC Software: Basics of MS Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
Computer Fundamentals: Evolution of computers, hardware/software, internet basics.
C Language: Data types, loops, conditionals, arrays, pointers, functions, structures, file handling.
DBMS: SQL, DDL, DML, PL/SQL, cursors, triggers, RDBMS concepts.
Networking: OSI, TCP/IP, Ethernet, Token Ring, error detection/correction.
Civil Engineering Building materials and concrete technology, surveying techniques, soil mechanics and foundations, fluid mechanics and hydraulics, environmental and irrigation engineering, transportation (railways, highways, bridges), estimation & costing, and RCC/steel structure design and construction management.
Electrical Engineering Basic electrical concepts, Ohm's and Kirchhoff’s laws, AC/DC circuit analysis, magnetic circuits, transformers, AC/DC machines, power system fundamentals, protection devices, utilization of energy, electric traction systems, and electrical estimation & costing.
Electronics & Communication Basic electronics, diodes, transistors, analog and digital circuits, microprocessors and microcontrollers, signal processing, control systems, network theory, instrumentation, telecommunication systems, and computer networking basics.
Printing Technology Covers traditional and modern printing processes (letterpress, offset, gravure, flexo), typesetting, platemaking, binding and finishing, quality control in printing, packaging materials, printing inks and chemicals, estimating costs, and machine maintenance.
Chemical and Metallurgical Assistant (CMA) Chemistry: Topics include atomic structure, bonding, electrochemistry, kinetics, organic & inorganic chemistry, titration and gravimetric analysis.
Metallurgy: Properties of metals/alloys, heat treatment, iron-carbon diagrams, mechanical testing (tensile, hardness, impact), non-destructive testing (NDT), corrosion & its prevention, powder metallurgy, and basic thermodynamics.
